1. Departamentul de stat american a făcut public Raportul anual privind situația drepturilor omului în lume. În privința României, sînt remarcate: durata excesivă a proceselor, corupția „endemică” a oficialităților şi violenţele poliţiei împotriva romilor.
Sînt menționate, la minusuri, Iranul, Nicaragua și China, ultima avînd o categorie aparte.
2. Senatul a respins inițiativa privind parteneriatul civil între persoane de același sex, ”Propunerea nu se justifică”, a spus Șerban Nicolae.
De menționat că propunerea USR, PNL, ALDE și UDMR ar dubla, în cazul în care ar adoptată, legislația privind căsătoria, ceea ce legea interzice.

The Special Counsel states that ”while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.”
………and applying the principles of federal prosecution that guide our charging decisions, DAG Rod Rosenstein and I (AG Bill Barr) have concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.
In making this determination we noted that the Special Counsel recognized that ”the evidence does not establish that the President was involved in an underlying crime related to Russian election interference…”
Generally speaking, to obtain and sustain an obstruction conviction, the government would need to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a person, acting with corrupt intent, engaged in obstructive conduct, etc., etc…
